[16] Marie (Hardwick) Blanscet, daughter of Eva said that she got up at4:30 am to get ready to go to work. She fell in the bathroom and hither head on the tub. Eva was taken to the hospital, and she neverwoke up. Marie said that she died that afternoon.

Eva is buried in the old area of the cemetery. To find her grave gointo the first gate and go around curve. The Hardwick and Blanscetplots are to the right.

Mrs. Marion Hardwick of 1221 North 6th Street died at a local hospitalat 4:30 p.m. Sunday following an illness of a few hours. She was 48years old.
Survivors are the husband, Marion W.; the mother, Mrs. Mary Wilhite ofArkoma; one daughter, Mrs. Gene Blanscet of Arkoma; three sons, AlbertC. Hardwick, Kansas City, Missouri; Earnest Hardwick of Texarkana,Texas and Lloyd D. Hardwick, missing in action with the United Statesarmy in Korea; two sisters, Mrs. Ortie Bowden, Bokoshe, Okla.; Mrs. R.A. Gipson, Greenwood, Ark.; two brothers Walter Anderson, McAllister,Okla.; and Luther Anderson, Fort Smith; and three grandchildren.
The body is at the Edwards funeral home. Burial will be at SteepHill Cemetery.

"Rosie Barker Honea, 88, died Sunday, February 23, 1997 at NorthLogan
Nursing Home in Paris.
She was a homemaker, a Baptist and the widow of Alfred A. Honea.Daughter
of the late Issac and Avie Sampley Barker, she was born April 5, 1908in Altus.
Survivors include four daughters, Anita Mars of Paris, Virginia Mars,and
Mary Harper, both of Oklahoma City, and Ruby Hughey of Dover; one son,George
of Oklahoma City; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 14
great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) atBaxley
Cemetery, Paris, with Rev. J. H. Carter officiating. Burial will beunder the
direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Paulbearers will be Leroy and Bill Hooker, Billy Barker, JimmyRoberts and
Andy and Tommy Mars."

Mrs. Rosalia Zeigler
Mrs. Rosalia Zeigler died at the home of her son-in-law, Mike Metz, at10:25 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 1923, and was buried at 9:30 a.m.,Tuesday, April 3, 1923, in the Catholic cemetery at Altus, afterRequiem Mass in the Catholic Church.
Mrs. Zeigler was born in Bavaria, Germany, in 1834 and came to Americawhen she was sixteen years of age and settled in Wisconsin. When theCatholic colony was located in Altus the Zeigler family was among thefirst half dozen families to settle there, arriving in 1879. Theyimmediately became leaders in the upbuilding of that section of thecountry. Twenty-seven years ago her husband Lawrence Zeigler, diedand for the last 24 years Mrs. Zeigler had lived with Mr. Metz, hehaving married tow of her daughters.
She was the mother of 13 children, 49 grandchildren and 52great-grandchildren. Fiver of her children survive her; Mrs. W. A.Blanscet of Altus, Mrs. Schade of /san Antonio, Tex., Matt Zeigler ofIdaho, Lawrence and Edwin Zeigler of Oklahoma.
