Our Great grandparents, HIRAM BLANSETT and MARTHA ANN BEESON, met andmarried in Scott County, Arkansas in 1872. Hiram George WashingtonBlansett was born November 21, 1850 in Grundy County, Tennessee, toAndrew Jackson and Mary Ann (Kilgore) Blansett. Martha Ann Beeson wasborn September 23, 1855 in Scott County, Arkansas to John andElizabeth (?) Beeson. Hiram and Martha arrived in Indian Territory in1886. Their children were: John Calvin Andrew, born March 23, 1873and married Aley Mae Sparks; Mary Elizabeth, born November 8,1875 anddied August 19, 1907, married John Carrol Sanders on December 25, 1892in Indian Territory; Joseph Carrol Blansett, born January 22, 1877and died July 30, 1940, married Rose Etta Sanders-Ross, the sister ofJohn Carrol Sanders, on June 6, 1897 in Indian Territory; StephenGeorge F., born July 21, 1879 and died April 6, 1918, not married;Rosa Lee, born December 13, 1881 and died May 16, 1969, married firstJohn L. Simon and second Josh Marcum; William Jackson, born February3, 1886 and died December 22, 1977, maried Mararet Louise King;richard Benjamin, born May 3, 1890 and died May 15, 1974, marriedNancy Elvira Robertson; and Anna Ethalene, born August 27, 1893 anddied June 29, 1981, married Clarence Pennel. The first five childrenwere born in Scott County, Arkansas and the last three in IndianTerritory (Oklahoma). Hiram Blansett died December 11, 1914 inMcAlester, Oklahoma and was buried at North McAlester Cemetery inNorth McAlester, Oklahoma where Martha is buried. Martha diedDecember 21, 1899 in McAlester.
