John S. Blanscet, 82, a resident of the Austin area for 22 years, diedSept. 19 at the Delta Memorial Hospital where he had been a patientfor three days.
Services have been set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roberts Funeral Chapel,with the Rev. R. L. Birchfield officiation, and burial in the CoryCemetery.
Mr. Blanscet was Born May 21, 1997, at Sunset, Texas, son of ElexStevens Blanscet and Martha (Langley) Blanscet. He and Rosa Bell Fordwere married at Sayre, Oklahoma on Aug. 24, 1913. He was a member ofthe Delta Southern Baptist Church, and had farmed in the Austin areauntil retiring in Jyly 1951.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Tom W. Blanscet ofAustin; five daughters, Mrs. Horace (Opal) Dark of Oklahoma City, Mrs.Bill (Imogene) Glasscock of Newcastle, Colo., Mrs. Hoyt (Roselle) Waleof Amarillo, Texas, Mrs. Bill (Joy Lou) Long of Pueblo, Mrs. J. D.(Beatrice) Leach of Garden Grove, Calif., 23 grandchildren and 18great grandchildren.
Three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

William A. Blanscet died June 16, 1990, in Lynnwood, Washington.
He was born March 26, 1908, in Altus, Arkansas.
He was the beloved husband of Velma Blanscet; father of William L.,and rita Jenkins; brother of Anna Harper of Loma, Colorado, KennethBlanscet of Salem, Oregon, and Gene Blanscet of Altus, Arkansas. Heis also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
Services will be 1:00 p.m.; Tuesday, June 19, 1990, in the chapel ofPurdy and Walters at Floral Hills. Interment will follow at EvergreenMemorial Park, seattle, Washington,.
Memorials are suggested to the Bothell Southern Baptist Church.
Arrangements under the direction of Evergreen Washell Funeral Home,Seattle.
