White, Oma Lee (nee Blansett)
TRUMANN Mrs. Oma Lee White was born on Saturday, Aug. 23, 1924, daughter of the
late Joe and Cora Ellen Hickam Blansett. Mrs. White died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at St.
Bernards Medical Center at Jonesboro at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 11 days.
She was born at Trumann and had lived at Trumann for the past 12 years. She was formerly
of St. Louis. She was a homemaker and member of Providence Baptist Church.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Elvis John Snook White; and
her parents.
Survivors include one brother, Jesse Short Blansett of Caraway; and several
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be this afternoon at 1:30 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home at
Trumann with the Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Crossroads Cemetery
at Lorado.
Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Suttles, Rickie White, William White, Gary Jeffers,
Alvin Mitchell and Randy Jeffers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Vernon Winters and Freddie English.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until service time in Thompson Funeral Home.
