Christy, Lessie Lee (nee Blansett)
TRUMANN -- Lessie Lee Christy, 95, of Trumann died Thursday, Dec. 19, at Rose Skill Care Nursing Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Lorado, she was a lifelong resident of Trumann. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Trumann.
Survivors include three daughters, Ann Rutherford and Cathryn Rutherford, both of Jonesboro, and Mornay Busby of Trumann; two sisters, Flossie Gibson and Oma Lee White, both of Trumann; one brother, Jessie "Short" Blansett of Caraway; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Christy; her parents, Ed and Cora Blansett Haws; one great-grandson; one sister; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Scott Voss officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Active pallbearers will be Jim Rutherford, Richard Rutherford, Johnny Dale Rutherford, Randy Lard, Roger Hall and Chad Waddill.
Honorary pallbearers will include John Rutherford, Charley Nance, Shannon Hall, Jan Dungan and Dylan Rutherford.
Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
