Thomas, Cyrus

Cyrus Thomas Age 76 of Wilmington, DE passed away of Tuesday, October 8, 2002.

Mr. Thomas was an inspector with General Motors Retiring in 1988 after 34 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II serving on the USS Conyngham. He was in the Pacific Theater, American Theater, and the Phillipine Liberation. He was a member of the U.A.W. #345 in Wilmington.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth B. Thomas; son, Lawrence W. Thomas and his wife, Toni Lynn; 2 daughters, Leslie E. White and her husband, Richard C. and Linda M. Murray all of Wilmington; 3 sisters, Dora Saunders and Eva Shealer both of Gettysburg, PA and Florence Foulk of Baltimore, MD; 10 grandchildren, Keith, Nichole, Larry, Jr., Ricky, Donnie, Lisa, Lauren, Ryan, Kevan and Katelyn; and 5 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, October 11 at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Road, where friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm.
