Mr. Blansett died March 14, 2004 in Vacaville. He was born May 10, 1920 to Shed and Jennie Blansett near Ada, Okla. He was the fourth of six boys.

Eual was forced to quit school at an early age to help support his family when the Dust Bowl struck Oklahoma in the 1930s. He later joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in 1937 and was proud of the work he performed to help develop a park in southern Oklahoma. He returned home, where he met his future wife, Delia Spears, after he left the CCC in 1939.

In 1941, after working in Arizona for a short time, he joined Delia in Modesto, where they were married on June 6, 1941.

Eual started his career in aviation repair at Stockton Field in Stockton in 1942. He worked on the propeller systems of aircraft used to train pilots for duty in World War II. In 1944, despite being exempt from military service, Eual joined the Army Air Corps. He quickly rose to the rank of sergeant.

After being mustered out at the end of the war, Eual and his family came to Vacaville, where he continued his federal employment at then Fairfield-Suisun Air Force Base, later renamed Travis Air Force Base. Eual eventually became the supervisor of the "Prop Shop" and, later, the Hydraulics Shop. He retired in 1981, while living in Vacaville.

Eual joined the Church of the Nazarene and helped build its worship center. He was a faithful member until his death.

He was a family man who enjoyed visiting with his grandchildren and spending time researching his family's genealogy.

Eual is survived by his wife of 62 years, Delia of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Sara of Adel, Ga.; their children, Marchelle, Toby, Janet and Michael; son and daughter-in-law, Eual Desmond Jr. "Sonny" and Gayle of Stockton; their children, Tanya, Ethan and Sarianna; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Doris of Hawthorne, Nev.; their children, Samantha and Jeremy; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Don Holdener of Vacaville; their children, Shannon, Corrie and Chris; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Lee "Pete" of Oklahoma.
